Mistral Le Chat MCP Connectors
Le Chat, Mistral's chat app, can connect to any MCP server with a custom MCP connector. Use it for internal tools, private APIs or services that are not in the connector directory.
Admin-only feature. On Free, Pro and Student plans the account owner is the admin, so you can add connectors yourself. On team plans, ask your admin.
Add a Custom MCP Connector
- Open the Connectors page in Le Chat
- Click + Add Connector and switch to the Custom MCP Connector tab
- Enter a Connector name with no spaces or special characters
- Paste the full Server URL and add an optional description
- Click Connect and complete sign-in if asked
Le Chat works with remote Streamable HTTP servers.
Authentication
Le Chat detects the auth method of the server for you:
- No authentication for public servers
- HTTP Bearer token or Basic auth in the Authorization header
- OAuth 2.1 with a guided consent flow
Find Servers to Add
Browse the MCP server directory and filter by the streamable-http or sse transport. Each remote server page has a Le Chat tab under Add as a Connector with the exact URL to copy.
