Find Expired Domains

This skill turns the agent into an expired-domain prospector using Karma.Domains:
400k+ daily expired, auction, backorder, and buy-now listings with SEO metrics and Wayback history.

When to use

Use it whenever the user wants to:

• Find expired / aged domains for SEO (money sites, niche sites, affiliate)
• Drop-catch a deleted domain or back-order an expiring one
• Evaluate a specific domain's authority and backlink profile before bidding
• Compare auction listings across GoDaddy, DropCatch, Dynadot, NameJet, and others
• Check live availability, WHOIS, DNS, DA/DR, or Karma Metric for one domain

Connect the MCP server first

Live data comes from the Karma.Domains MCP server. If it is not connected, tell the user to add it before returning live data — do not invent metrics.

Point the connector at https://mcp.karma.domains/mcp. HTTP 401 includes Protected Resource Metadata; the user signs in. API key is optional for those clients.

Agent credits (x402)

Workflow

• Prefer search_reports: sparse structured filter (same fields as the Public API). Use it for pagination and refinements; pass back applied_filter.
• Avoid interpret_query — deprecated, limited server NL→filter, debits credits. Last resort only.
• Call instructions before non-trivial searches. Use filter_catalog for exact categories and auction_source. Do not invent category names or put preset ids into categories.
• Use get_domain for an exact domain name (priority: auctions → expired → backorder → buynow).
• Use report_type + report_id from list rows for favorites, annotations, share, and enrich.
• Paid live checkers take one domain. Cache hits are free. check_expired_report is free of live-tool quota in the usual product sense (still rate-limited). Agents get HTTP 402 if credits are insufficient.

Filter dates and field names

• Bases: domain_type (auctions / expired / backorder / buynow) — not report_type inside the filter.
• Date ranges: auction_end_time, auction_added_time, report_added_time, wa_first_snap, wa_last_snap — each [start, end] as YYYY-MM-DD strings. Never Unix timestamps or date _min / _max.
• Response timestamps (added_at, auction end_time) are Unix — do not paste them into filter date fields.

Presenting results

Summarize: domain, base, report_url, and the metrics the user asked for (authority → DA/DR; history → KarmaScore / Karma Metric; auctions → price / end / source). Prefer the report payload over paid live tools. Do not dump every list field or live-check every hit unless asked. Recommend verifying backlinks (Ahrefs/Majestic) and Wayback before spending money.

• 50,000 list rows/day (UTC)
